AI Engineering Intern

About the Role

As an AI Engineering Intern at Zycus, you will dive into the company’s Merlin AI ecosystem, building small‑scale prototypes that automate support, implementation, and customer‑success workflows. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to identify friction points, design low‑code solutions, and iterate pilots that bring tangible efficiency gains.

Key Responsibilities

• Map existing support and implementation processes to spot automation opportunities and document findings in a shared backlog.
• Build rapid prototypes—chatbots, workflow automations, or dashboards—using Python, APIs, JSON, and low‑code platforms, then validate them with internal stakeholders.
• Deploy pilot solutions, monitor usage metrics, collect qualitative feedback, and refine the prototype based on real‑world data.
• Create concise documentation, prompt libraries, and demo scripts that enable easy scaling of successful pilots across the organization.
• Stay current with emerging Gen‑AI tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI APIs) and propose how they can solve identified pain points.
• Collaborate with Delivery, Support, and Customer Success teams to align AI initiatives with business objectives and user needs.
• Prepare internal knowledge‑sharing sessions, showcasing pilot outcomes and best practices to foster a culture of AI experimentation.

Skills & Qualifications

• Current or recent B.E./B.Tech. graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience with Python, APIs, and JSON data handling.
• Familiarity with low‑code or notebook environments for rapid prototyping.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Good communication skills to document findings and present demos to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or OpenAI APIs is a plus.
• Experience with SaaS or customer‑facing operations (support, success) is desirable.
