About the Role

This role involves handling various activities related to procurement, including costing, negotiation, vendor development, and import experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving cost reduction activities, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

As a procurement engineer at Yazaki India Private Limited, you will have the opportunity to work with a team to develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with production teams to avoid shortages.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to RFQs (Requests for Quotation) in a timely manner to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure the best possible prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement processes.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to avoid shortages and ensure just-in-time delivery.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve procurement efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and other procurement software.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Experience with RFQs, vendor development, and import experience.
