HSEQ Data & Analytics Analyst

About the Role

The HSEQ Data & Analytics Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the HSEQ function by leveraging robust data management, analysis, and insight. This role focuses on maintaining and analysing HSEQ performance data, identifying trends and systemic issues, and providing reliable, defensible information for decision-making and assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support Power BI dashboards, datasets, and dataflows used for HSEQ reporting.
• Validate, reconcile, and assure the quality of HSEQ data used for internal reporting and assurance.
• Analyse and trend leading and lagging HSEQ indicators, including the Safety Maturity Index.
• Identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and systemic issues in incident, audit, and performance data.
• Support HSEQ leadership and managers with accurate data for project reviews, presentations, and management forums.
• Contribute analytical insight and evidence to the Annual Management Review process.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong analytical capability with experience working with complex datasets.
• Practical experience supporting or maintaining Power BI dashboards, datasets, and dataflows.
• Ability to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and classification errors.
• Experience trending performance data and interpreting leading and lagging indicators.
• Ability to analyse audit and assurance data to identify systemic issues rather than isolated findings.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Computer Science, or Statistics.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Analyst (CDA) or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP).
