About the Role

As a Java Developer on our TITANS team, you'll be responsible for developing high-quality code for new features, ensuring proper test coverage, and adhering to industry-wide best practices. Your primary focus will be on writing efficient and scalable Java code using Spring Boot and REST APIs.

This is a 100% developer position, and you'll be expected to be proficient in Java, with a good understanding of Java 8+ and its ecosystem. You'll work on a global team, collaborating with colleagues from the UK and other parts of the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality Java code for new features, ensuring proper test coverage and adherence to industry-wide best practices.
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement scalable and efficient software solutions.
• Write unit tests using JUnit and ensure proper test coverage.
• Work with REST APIs, Spring Boot, and Java 8+ to develop robust and scalable software solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry, and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and learning.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of the codebase.
• Work with minimal supervision, taking ownership of your tasks and delivering high-quality results.

Skills & Qualifications

• Java 8+ and its ecosystem (Java 17 and Java 21)
• Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• REST APIs and API design
• JUnit and unit testing
• Cloud technology and Terraform
• Jenkins CI/CD and DevOps
• Angular JS, React JS, or Kotlin (good to have)
• SAFe knowledge (good to have)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements
