Accountant

About the Role

As an Accountant at Windshield Excellent, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform business decisions. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining the company's financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and general ledgers.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations, including tax filings and audits.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to inform business decisions.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve financial efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Provide financial guidance and support to other departments, including sales, marketing, and operations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP.
• Knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations, including tax filings and audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications in accounting, such as CPA or CMA, are a plus.
