About the Role

As a Uk Accountant - Fresher at WhiteWorth Advisors, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and examination of financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations, and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions. You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. Your role will involve a mix of bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations, including VAT Returns and corporation tax.
• Process and reconcile financial transactions, including bank statements and credit card statements.
• Assist in the preparation of HMRC returns and other tax-related documents.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of cloud accounting software and other financial systems.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in cloud accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulations, including VAT Returns and corporation tax.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
