About the Role
A Credit Analyst at VSP Consultants plays a crucial role in evaluating the creditworthiness of clients, analyzing financial data, and making informed decisions to minimize risk. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless credit operations and maintaining accurate records. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing financial statements, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing credit risk by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data.
- Developing and maintaining financial models to forecast cash flows, revenue, and expenses.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely credit decisions.
- Communicating complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise reports.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit analysis.
- Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Providing support and guidance to junior team members in credit analysis and financial modeling.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of financial modeling tools and techniques, including financial statement analysis and ratio analysis.
- Certifications in credit analysis or financial modeling are a plus.
