JAVA Developer

About the Role

This Java Developer position at Virtusa involves working on the design and development of scalable microservices architectures, creating API specifications, and implementing security measures. You will be responsible for building RESTful APIs with Spring Boot and integrating various databases. Additionally, you will contribute to DevOps and quality assurance by creating and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, containerizing applications with Docker, and deploying them to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices architectures using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create and maintain API specifications for RESTful APIs.
• Implement security measures such as OAuth2 and JWT to protect applications.
• Develop reusable components and integrate them into the application.
• Create and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
• Containerize applications with Docker and deploy them to the cloud.
• Configure monitoring and alerting systems to ensure application performance and security.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in Java programming language.
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and other security protocols.
• Understanding of database management systems, including DB2 and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins and Docker.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
