About the Role
As a Banking Customer Service representative, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking assistance with their banking services. Your day-to-day tasks will involve responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information on various banking products and services.
Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will be required to handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat, providing accurate and timely information on banking products and services.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a fair and efficient manner, escalating complex issues to senior representatives or managers as needed.
- Provide product and service information to customers, including features, benefits, and usage guidelines.
- Process customer transactions, such as account openings, loan applications, and bill payments.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and operations, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics, including customer satisfaction, first-call resolution, and average handle time.
Skills & Qualifications
- Customer care and customer service principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience in a call center or banking environment, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Ability to work a standard 8-hour day shift, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
