Research Scientist - Computational Neuroscience

About the Role

As a Research Scientist in Computational Neuroscience, you will be responsible for designing and implementing computational models to understand complex neural systems. This role involves working with large datasets, developing machine learning algorithms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance our understanding of the brain.

Day-to-day tasks may include writing and optimizing code in Python, utilizing libraries such as Jax and NumPy for efficient computations, and integrating machine learning models with experimental data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement computational models to simulate neural systems
• Develop and optimize machine learning algorithms for data analysis
• Collaborate with experimental teams to integrate computational models with experimental data
• Write and maintain high-quality code in Python, utilizing libraries such as Jax and NumPy
• Contribute to the development of new research projects and initiatives
• Present research findings to internal stakeholders and external partners
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computational neuroscience and machine learning

Skills & Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Neuroscience, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python programming language, including experience with libraries such as Jax and NumPy
• Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and experience with libraries such as PyTorch
• Experience with data analysis and visualization using tools such as SciPy and Matplotlib
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Linux operating system and Git version control
