Software Tester

About the Role

As a Software Tester at Tredence Inc., you will be responsible for writing test cases, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the quality of software products. Your primary focus will be on data reconciliation, data validation, and identifying defects in the software. You will work closely with the development team to resolve issues and improve the overall quality of the product.

Key Responsibilities

• Write test cases for software products using Python or PySpark, and validate data using SQL and PySQL.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve defects in the software.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive testing.
• Conduct data reconciliation from source to target, and validate data using complex SQL or PySQL.
• Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment of software products.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and technologies, and recommend improvements to the testing process.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the quality of the code.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Python or PySpark, and knowledge of SQL and PySQL.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jira, and familiarity with cloud data platforms like Databricks.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and data reconciliation processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
