About the Role

As an Accountant in the Pune Division of TransUnion, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and review financial statements, manage month-end close processes, and maintain compliance with US GAAP and statutory audit requirements.

You will work closely with the finance team to identify and mitigate financial risks, analyze financial data using Business Intelligence tools, and provide insights to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reporting.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to inform business decisions using Business Intelligence tools like Tableau.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and statutory audit requirements.
• Assist in tax filings and ensure timely submission of tax returns.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a financial services or consulting firm.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools like Tableau.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
