About the Role
As a Waiter/Waitress/Continental Cook in a hotel setting, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless service delivery to guests, handling food preparation and presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Your day-to-day tasks will involve interacting with guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and managing inventory. You will also be required to work collaboratively with the kitchen staff to prepare and serve meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Take orders from guests and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Prepare and serve meals, including continental dishes, to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including the dining area, kitchen, and storage areas.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to prepare and serve meals, including menu planning and inventory management.
- Manage cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve service delivery and stay up-to-date with industry trends.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and presentation, including continental dishes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Basic math skills, with the ability to manage cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to use point-of-sale systems and other technology as required.
