Job Summary We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities in a manufacturing setup. The role focuses on PPAP, APQP documentation , 8D problem-solving , and handling of standard metrology instruments to ensure product quality and customer compliance. Key Responsibilities Support APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities and maintain related documentation Assist in preparation and submission of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents Participate in 8D problem-solving for internal and customer quality issues Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as per control plans Handle and operate metrology instruments , including: Vernier calipers Micrometers Height gauges Dial indicators Bore gauges Go / No-Go gauges Profile projector / CMM (basic level, if applicable) Ensure proper calibration, storage, and usage of measuring instruments Identify, record, and report non-conformances Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (as part of 8D) Assist during internal audits and customer audits Maintain quality inspection records and reports Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues Required Qualifications Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, and 8D methodology Hands-on experience or training in metrology and inspection instruments Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & GD&T (basic) Preferred Skills Familiarity with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards Basic understanding of SPC and MSA Good documentation and reporting skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Willingness to work on the shop floor Experience Level 0–2 years Freshers with relevant training or internship experience are welcome Contact Hari Karuppaiya Ph:+91 9940030621, What's app :+91 9940421142
