About the Role

As an IT Intern at The Citco Group Limited, you will be working on developing, maintaining, and testing new applications to serve our clients' needs. This role is ideal for graduate engineering interns with a software engineering and computer science background. You will be expected to own and deliver tasks with little oversight, making self-motivation and excellent communication skills essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and test new applications to meet client needs.
• Work on software engineering and computer science projects, applying your knowledge of programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
• Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements to existing applications.
• Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to the team's efforts to deliver high-quality software.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying your knowledge to improve existing applications and develop new ones.
• Work with the team to ensure that all applications meet the required standards of quality, security, and performance.

Skills & Qualifications

• Good proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python).
• Experience with one or more front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Exposure to python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and more.
• Familiarity with back-end frameworks (e.g., Spring, Django).
• Basic understanding of RESTful API design.
• Exposure to AI & ML techniques and exposure to Agentic AI tools & technologies relevant to IT.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Good knowledge & understanding of database systems and experience of working with SQL, PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Bachelor's Engineering Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems.
