Business Analyst

About the Role

This Business Analyst role is focused on the interbank payments space, working with international and domestic clearing systems. You'll be responsible for understanding and analyzing complex payment processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

As a Business Analyst in this role, you'll work closely with multiple stakeholders, including bank staff and teams, to collect business requirements and develop solution specifications. Your experience in payments processing, particularly in the areas of real-time payments, credit transfers, bill payments, and direct debits, will be valuable assets in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze business requirements from various stakeholders, including bank staff and teams, to identify areas for process improvement.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of payment processing systems, including international and domestic clearing systems.
• Prepare and maintain business requirements and solution specification documents to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize payment processing efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve complex payment processing issues, working closely with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including bank staff and teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of payment processing systems, including international and domestic clearing systems.
• Experience with ISO20022 Payments standards and their application in payment processing.
• Knowledge of payment processing systems, including real-time payments, credit transfers, bill payments, and direct debits.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
