Fabric Engineer

About the Role
As a Fabric Engineer at Stratacent, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, dataflows, and notebooks to support business intelligence and reporting needs. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable data models and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data governance and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) within Fabric Lakehouse to support data ingestion and transformation.
- Build and maintain Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks (PySpark/Spark SQL) for data ingestion and transformation.
- Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models, DAX measures, and reports using DirectLake mode.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) for governed, multi-tenant reporting.
- Configure OneLake Shortcuts for cross-workspace/cross-domain data access without duplication.
- Integrate data sources across Azure, AWS, GCP, and on-prem systems into centralized Fabric workspaces.
- Apply Microsoft Purview for data governance, sensitivity labeling, and lineage tracking.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and experience with data pipelines, dataflows, and notebooks.
- Proficiency in Spark SQL, Power BI, PySpark, and GCP.
- Experience with Sailpoint, Azure, Dax, AWS, and Data Pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Knowledge of data governance, sensitivity labeling, and lineage tracking using Microsoft Purview.
- Experience with AD Group integration and SailPoint.
