Associate Price Reporter, Environmental Markets

About the Role
This role is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and driven market reporter to cover Asian carbon markets, working closely with a global team of reporters to provide daily price assessments and market coverage.
You will be responsible for gathering and maintaining information through daily engagement with market sources, supporting robust assessments and contributing to the development of new assessments as market structures and products evolve.
This role requires a strong understanding of Environmental Markets and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality market reports and analysis on tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Publish daily price assessments in line with Platts methodology
- Gather and maintain information through daily engagement with market sources to support robust assessments
- Cover day-to-day, market-moving developments in the Asia carbon market
- Write market commentaries and rationales, delivering daily coverage of key market trends
- Create additional digital and audio content (e.g., podcasts) explaining fundamental drivers behind price movements
- Contribute to the development of new assessments as market structures and products evolve
Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate degree in journalism, finance, economics, environmental science, or a related field
- Working understanding of Environmental Markets
- Understanding of Platts assessments and methodology parameters
- Working understanding of commodity markets
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to engage and build sources with external market participants
- Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
