Role Overview We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to become a valuable member of our Platform Engineering team at SolarWinds. This position necessitates a solid foundation in software engineering principles, a proactive learning approach, and the capability to deliver well-defined work with guidance within a collaborative setting. The team is tasked with developing and enhancing essential software capabilities that underpin reliable, scalable, and secure product development across SolarWinds.   Responsibilities - Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software components and services. - Write clean, maintainable, production-quality code under the mentorship of senior engineers. - Engage in code reviews and incorporate feedback to elevate code quality and consistency. - Develop and maintain unit tests and automated tests to ensure reliable releases. - Diagnose defects and assist in resolving product and production issues. - Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to fulfill sprint commitments.   Qualifications - 0–2 years of software engineering experience through full-time employment, internships, or academic projects. - A strong foundation in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Go, Python, or similar. - Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles. - Familiarity with version control, debugging, testing practices, and modern development workflows. - Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, and software development lifecycle concepts. - Ability to quickly learn new technologies and effectively apply feedback. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
