Quality Assurance Technician

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Technician at Shoppers Stop, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the required standards before they reach customers. This involves inspecting products at various stages of production, identifying any mistakes or non-conformities, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective pre-shipment meetings with vendors to discuss product quality and any potential issues.
• Perform in-line and final inspections at vendor locations to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Monitor the quality of products throughout the production process and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain quality measurement and recording systems to track product quality.
• Monitor the performance of suppliers of raw materials and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Establish quality standards for the factory based on buyer requirements and guidance.
• Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing technical data to improve product quality.

Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate degree in a relevant field, such as Textiles or Textile Engineering.
• Relevant experience in quality assurance or a related field.
• Technical skills: Garment inspection based on AQL, Garment Measuring Skills, Pattern measuring skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Customer orientation, learning proficiency, planning and organizing, team player, influencing, problem solving, decision making, leadership skills.
