Associate Data Scientist (MMM)

About the Role

As an Associate Data Scientist at Shell, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions through data-driven insights. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement data analytics solutions to improve operational efficiency and optimize business outcomes.

Day-to-day, you will be working with large datasets, developing predictive models, and visualizing data to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Shell remains competitive.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain large-scale data analytics solutions using Python, R, or SQL.
• Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and architectures.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop insights to inform business decisions.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
• Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders through data visualization and storytelling.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Shell remains competitive.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and experience with scikit-learn or TensorFlow.
• Experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
