About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Scoutit, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of software systems from development to deployment. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement automation tools, monitoring systems, and infrastructure as code. Your primary goal will be to bridge the gap between development and operations teams, enabling faster and more reliable software releases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to streamline deployment and testing processes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines into the software development life cycle.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize resource utilization and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistency and reproducibility across environments.
  • Implement logging and monitoring systems to provide real-time insights into system performance and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  • Work with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, implementing measures to protect against vulnerabilities and data breaches.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in DevOps tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Docker.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with experience in deploying and managing applications on these platforms.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Travis CI.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of system monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
