DevOps Engineer

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Scoutit, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations teams by ensuring the smooth deployment and operation of software systems. This involves designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure, as well as automating processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure using cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of software systems.
• Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to infrastructure and automation.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve processes and infrastructure.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Certifications in DevOps or related fields (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional).
