DevOps Engineer

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Scoutit, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our software systems, from development to deployment. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement automation tools, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between development and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts to streamline software deployment and testing processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to improve overall system efficiency.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting tools to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Collaborate with operations teams to resolve production issues and implement fixes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to our DevOps processes.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong understanding of system administration and networking fundamentals.
• Certifications in DevOps or related fields (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
