Java Engineer

About the Role

As a Java Engineer at Scaler, you will design and develop end-to-end web applications using Java and React.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Develop dynamic, responsive UI components using React.js.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs.
• Work on microservices-based architecture.
• Integrate frontend with backend services seamlessly.
• Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Perform code reviews and debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, QA, DevOps).
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

What You'll Need

• Java (8 or above).
• Spring / Spring Boot.
• REST API development.
• Microservices architecture.
• Hibernate / JPA.
• Frontend React.js (Hooks, Functional Components).
• JavaScript (ES6+).
• HTML5 CSS3.
• State management (Redux / Context API).
• UI libraries (Material UI, Bootstrap, Tailwind).
• Databases RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• NoSQL (MongoDB - good to have).
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Tools And Technologies Git (version control).
• Build tools (Maven / Gradle).
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Docker (preferred).
• Webpack / Babel.
• Cloud (Preferred) AWS / Azure / GCP basics.
• Deployment and monitoring knowledge.
