About the Role

As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for originating and processing mortgage loans for clients. This involves working closely with customers to understand their financial needs, providing guidance on loan options, and ensuring a smooth loan application process. You will also be required to maintain accurate records and stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and process mortgage loans for clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of loan applications.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other industry professionals to generate new business opportunities.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as underwriting and closing, to ensure seamless loan processing and customer satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics, contributing to the growth and success of the company.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in mortgage lending and industry-specific software.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Current NMLS (Nationwide Multistate Licensing System) license or ability to obtain within the required timeframe.
  • Proficiency in loan origination software, such as Encompass or LoanPro.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines to meet sales targets and customer expectations.
