About the Role
This Desktop Support role involves providing technical assistance to employees with their desktop-related issues, ensuring seamless operations. You'll troubleshoot hardware and software problems, manage inventory, and provide training to colleagues. As a remote support specialist, you'll work closely with the IT team to resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to desktop-related queries and issues via phone, email, or chat
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, including printer and peripheral device issues
- Manage inventory of desktop hardware and software, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting
- Provide training to colleagues on desktop software and hardware usage
- Collaborate with the IT team to resolve complex issues and implement solutions
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest desktop technologies and best practices
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 0-4 years of experience in desktop support or a related field
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS)
- Familiarity with printer and peripheral device management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a remote team environment
- Basic knowledge of inventory management principles
