Management Accountant (Fixed-Term, Maternity Cover)

About the Role

In this Management Accountant role, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the organization by analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the finance team to identify areas of improvement and implement cost-saving measures. This is a fixed-term position, covering maternity leave, and is an excellent opportunity for a fresher to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify areas of improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business decision-making.
• Perform cost analysis to identify areas of inefficiency and implement cost-saving measures.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment and receipt of invoices.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in financial software, including Excel, QuickBooks, or similar accounting packages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify areas of improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple deadlines and priorities.
