UKI Fixed Asset Controller

About the Role
As a UKI Fixed Asset Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy of fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. You will work closely with the finance team to prepare and review financial statements, and identify areas for process improvements. Your day-to-day tasks will involve analyzing asset data, performing amortization and depreciation calculations, and ensuring timely completion of statutory financial statements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate fixed asset records, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Analyze asset data to identify trends and areas for process improvements.
- Perform amortization and depreciation calculations, and ensure accurate recording of asset retirements.
- Ensure timely completion of statutory financial statements, including tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify and address any financial reporting issues or discrepancies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 0-4 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or a multinational corporation.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software, such as Excel and SAP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
