About the Role

HCM Solution Engineer - Contract - Remote - Pharma The HCM Solution Engineer designs, enables, and supports end-to-end technical solutions across the global P&O technology landscape, with a focus on core HCM platforms (e.g., Workday) and related systems such as Payroll, Time & Absence, Benefits, Learning, and Clocking. The role requires strong expertise in solution architecture, integrations, and identity/access management, acting as a technical partner to HR, IT, and vendors. Duration: 6 months + extensions Location: Fully remote, India Start date: June Language: English Key Responsibilities Design and support end-to-end HCM solutions, including Payroll, Time & Absence, Benefits, Learning, and Core HR systems Define architecture blueprints, integration patterns, and target-state designs aligned with enterprise standards Build and maintain integrations (APIs, middleware, file-based, event-driven) across HCM and third-party systems Manage SSO, identity provisioning, and access control in collaboration with security and IAM teams Lead or support global implementations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with HR and IT stakeholders Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR) Provide advanced technical support, including incident analysis and root cause resolution Contribute to technical governance, standards, and roadmap development Maintain architecture documentation and solution designs Skills & Experience Experience in Solution Engineering or Technical Consulting within HCM/HRIT environments Experience with Workday or similar enterprise HCM platforms Strong knowledge of Payroll, Time & Absence, Benefits, Learning, and related systems Experience in global, multi-vendor, multi-country environments Solid integration experience (APIs, middleware, ETL, file transfers) Understanding of SSO/IAM (SAML, OAuth) and identity management concepts Ability to design architecture and clearly document solutions Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented approach to problem solving
