Junior Accountant - Urgent Position (Pune)

About the Role

This Junior Accountant role involves day-to-day financial tasks such as account reconciliations, financial analysis, and budgeting. You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and manage financial records, prepare financial statements, and analyze financial data to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and identify any discrepancies.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide recommendations to management.
• Assist in preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax laws.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in process improvements and implement changes to enhance financial reporting and analysis.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and taxation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis and visualization.
• Experience with Tally ERP or other accounting software.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of financial analysis and reporting.
• Certifications in accounting, such as CA or CMA, are a plus.
