Job Description
About the Role
This Embedded Safety Software Engineer role involves developing and executing Black-Box tests for RTOS/Hypervisor products, translating requirements into test procedures and scripts, and designing system-level scenarios to validate compliance.
As a fresher, you will have the opportunity to work on a hybrid model, with a mix of remote and office work, and be part of a team that is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of embedded systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Black-Box tests for RTOS/Hypervisor products to ensure compliance with DO-178C DAL-A objectives.
- Translate requirements into test procedures and scripts to validate system-level scenarios.
- Design and implement system-level scenarios to test thread/process performance, context switching, IPC, device driver latency, resource isolation, and stress/limit tests.
- Analyze and report system defects, and support root cause analysis to identify system defects.
- Build automated test suites for scalable regression to ensure efficient testing.
- Work with certification, architecture, and white-box test teams to ensure full safety/security coverage.
Skills & Qualifications
- C programming fundamentals.
- Experience in Black-Box testing of RTOS or hypervisor-based embedded systems.
- Strong debugging fundamentals.
- Analyzing test failures and identifying system defects.
- Root cause debugging.
- Automated test suites.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
