About the Role

As an Interim Engineering Intern in Software at Qualcomm, you will be working on designing and developing software for mobile chipsets based on cutting-edge technology. This will involve working on various areas such as multimedia technologies, wireless modem technologies, platform-level software, and IoT technologies.

You will be responsible for developing real-time embedded software and device drivers, mobile software development for Windows Mobile, Android, or Linux, and working on various protocols such as TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP, etc.

As a software engineer at Qualcomm, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects and technologies, including software development for Android, Windows Mobile-based embedded platforms, multimedia software stack, firmware, and driver development, wireless modem and connectivity software and firmware development, communication protocol stack software development, kernel, BSP, and device driver development, application software and UI development, and software architecture for embedded devices based on Android and Windows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for mobile chipsets based on cutting-edge technology.
• Develop real-time embedded software and device drivers.
• Work on mobile software development for Windows Mobile, Android, or Linux.
• Develop software for various protocols such as TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP, etc.
• Work on multimedia technologies, wireless modem technologies, platform-level software, and IoT technologies.
• Develop software for Android, Windows Mobile-based embedded platforms.
• Work on kernel, BSP, and device driver development.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering, Communication Engineering, or ECE.
• Good understanding of OS concepts, data structures, etc.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of wireless network standards such as CDMA/GSM/UMTS/LTE.
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX, Linux drivers, and Linux kernel development.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work in teams.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
