About the Role
As a Tax Intern/Trainee at PwC, you will be responsible for assisting in tax compliance and strategy, including reviewing and analysing financial data, preparing and filing tax returns, and validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations.
You will work closely with experienced professionals to provide advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.
This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tax services and develop your skills in financial analysis, tax planning, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Proper documentation of client records both in manual and soft copies.
- Tracking outstanding debtors, monthly WIP write-off, MIS reporting, etc.
- Assisting in preparation of paper books for tax hearings, filing documents / submission with tax office.
- Assisting in tracking pursuits, compiling and gathering information from public sources, preparing fact-sheets for pursuits.
- Working on "News Alerts" for the allotted period and ensuring regular updates on client industries and sharing the critical alerts / news on a regular basis with seniors.
Skills & Qualifications
- CA Intermediate both groups cleared.
- Thorough knowledge of Direct Tax, Corporate Tax (Income Tax and DTAA), Corporate Law and International Tax, FEMA and Transfer Pricing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good Interpersonal skills and Networking skills.
- Well-rounded commercial and economic awareness and understanding of the financial markets.
- Passion for client servicing.
- Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills.
- Motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving.
- Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks delegated.
