Quality Assurance Engineer - Playwright Testing

About the Role

This Quality Assurance Engineer role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manual testing, database validation, backend testing, and modern test automation, with a focus on using Playwright and AI-powered testing tools.

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, preparing test plans, executing functional and regression testing, and identifying software defects. You will also participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release validation, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to prepare detailed test plans and test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing to identify software defects.
• Connect securely to remote databases to verify application data and validate data integrity, consistency, and correctness between frontend and backend.
• Perform API validation and backend workflow testing, and manually execute cron jobs and scheduled backend processes.
• Develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, and automate regression, smoke, and critical business workflows.
• Utilize AI-powered testing tools for intelligent test generation and maintenance, and leverage AI capabilities to reduce manual effort and improve testing efficiency.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Business Analysts to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in manual testing, database validation, backend testing, and modern test automation.
• Experience with Playwright and AI-powered testing tools.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 0-0 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
