About the Role
As a SDE Intern at Policybazaar, you will work across frontend, backend, and database layers to automate manual workflows currently handled manually in both systems.
Responsibilities
- Build Angular UI components for RMS One and PBERP, focused on automating manual steps
- Support backend development in FastAPI/Rust for automated cost & revenue workflows
- Assist with MSSQL-to-PostgreSQL migration and automated data sync scripts
- Study existing legacy code to understand current manual processes before automating
- Document workflows and participate in code reviews
What You'll Need
- Frontend: Basic to intermediate Angular/TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3 (academic/hackathon or personal project experience acceptable)
- Backend: Exposure to Python (FastAPI) and/or Rust
- Database: Working knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL and/or MSSQL); Python scripting for data tasks
- General: Git/version control, strong problem-solving aptitude, ability to read and understand existing (legacy) code
- Mindset: Interest in process automation — identifying manual/repetitive steps and building systems to eliminate them
