About the Role

As a Computer Vision Scientist at Pixxel, you will be working on developing and implementing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms to analyze satellite imagery and extract valuable insights. Your day-to-day tasks will involve designing and testing computer vision models, integrating them with existing systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop computer vision models using OpenCV, PyTorch, and TensorFlow to analyze satellite imagery and extract relevant features.
  • Implement and integrate computer vision algorithms with existing systems to improve data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy machine learning models that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code using scientific coding practices and tools like NumPy and Rasterio.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of computer vision models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision and deep learning, and apply this knowledge to improve existing models and develop new ones.
  • Communicate complex technical ideas and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in computer vision, deep learning, and image processing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, or Java.
  • Experience with popular computer vision libraries and frameworks like OpenCV, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
  • Familiarity with scientific coding practices and tools like NumPy and Rasterio.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
