Articled Assistant

About the Role

An Articled Assistant at P Srinivasan & Co will be responsible for assisting in various accounting and taxation tasks, including financial reporting, indirect taxation, and internal audit. The role will involve working closely with senior team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheets, and other accounting reports.
• Conduct research and analysis on indirect taxation laws and regulations.
• Participate in internal audits and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Assist in forensic audits and bank audits, including data collection and analysis.
• Conduct research and analysis on direct taxation laws and regulations.
• Assist in tax litigation cases, including document preparation and research.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and tax-related documents.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of indirect taxation laws and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of internal audit principles and practices.
• Basic knowledge of forensic audit principles and practices.
• Basic knowledge of bank audit principles and practices.
• Strong understanding of direct taxation laws and regulations.
• Basic knowledge of tax litigation principles and practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
