About the Role
This Service Desk Support role involves providing technical assistance and support to users, ensuring their issues are resolved efficiently and effectively in a work-from-home setting.
As a Service Desk Support professional, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues, and it's your responsibility to troubleshoot and resolve these issues in a timely manner.
You will work closely with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues, and your excellent communication skills will be essential in providing clear and concise information to users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and chat.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for various devices and applications.
- Document and track all support requests in the ticketing system.
- Assist users in setting up and configuring their devices and software.
- Follow up with users to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with ticketing systems or IT service management tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
