Finance and Accounting Associate - Collections Specialist

About the Role

In this role as a Finance and Accounting Associate - Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing data to identify trends and patterns in collections, communicating with clients to negotiate payment plans, and applying accounting principles to ensure accurate and timely billing.

You will work closely with the finance team to develop and implement effective collection strategies, and utilize ERP systems such as SAP to manage and track collections.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify trends and patterns in collections and develop strategies to improve collection rates.
• Communicate with clients to negotiate payment plans and resolve any disputes or issues.
• Apply accounting principles to ensure accurate and timely billing and reconciliation.
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP to manage and track collections, and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies in collaboration with the finance team.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions with clients.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data and identify trends.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively communicate with clients.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, to analyze and present data.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, and ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a collections or billing role.
