Associate Software Engineer

About the Role

As an Associate Software Engineer at Noventiq, you will be working on the front-end of web applications, developing highly responsive user interface components using React concepts. You will be responsible for writing application interface codes using JavaScript, troubleshooting interface software, and debugging application codes. Your primary focus will be on designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement highly responsive user interface components using React concepts.
• Write application interface codes using JavaScript and troubleshoot interface software.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and develop updates.
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• Previous experience working as a Full Stack Developer.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of React tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
• Experience with user interface design.
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.
• Problem solving skills and good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java.
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful.
• Experience with popular web application frameworks, such as Spring, Hibernate.
• Must have experience with DB PostgreSQL, including strong proficiency in PL/pgSQL for writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers, along with schema design and query optimisation.
• Good to have experience with MongoDB and, Redis.
• History of working on Cloud Platforms and related technologies.
• Knack for writing clean code.
• Experience with both external and embedded databases.
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Basic understanding of JVM, its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds.
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven, and Gradle.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Good project management skills.
