About the Role
As a Data Scientist at Nielsen, you will be responsible for extracting insights from large datasets to inform business decisions. This involves working with various data sources, developing predictive models, and communicating findings to stakeholders. Your day-to-day tasks will include data wrangling, feature engineering, and model deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into business decisions
- Design and implement data visualizations to communicate complex findings to stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science
- Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the data science team's processes
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Python programming language, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing and confidence intervals
- Ability to work with large datasets and develop efficient data processing pipelines
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Matplotlib and Seaborn
- Familiarity with SQL and database management systems
