Location: Bangalore, WTC 4 Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Developer with expertise in Mainframe technologies, specifically in Cobol, DB2, JCL, MQ, and CICS . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in software development, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions that meet our clients needs. This position requires a strong understanding of CICS, as it is a deal breaker skill for this role. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a team to design, develop, and implement software applications while ensuring adherence to best practices and standards. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Cobol, DB2, JCL, MQ, and CICS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform system analysis and design to enhance existing applications and develop new features. Ensure code quality through thorough testing and debugging processes. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures for future reference. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve development practices. Mandatory Skills: Proficiency in CICS is essential. Strong knowledge of Cobol programming language. Experience with DB2 database management. Familiarity with JCL for job control language. Understanding of MQ for message queuing. Preferred Skills: Experience with Agile methodologies. Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
