About Company MovieMax Cinemas is a rapidly expanding chain of cinemas operated by Cineline India Limited. With 77 operational screens across 22 multiplexes and more on the horizon, Worknig Days : 6 Days working Responsibilities A cinema accountant is responsible for managing the finances of a cinema, day-to-day transactions, and reporting. Key duties involve maintaining financial records, petty cash, reconciling sales, purchase, and cash handling, preparing financial reports, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Maintain accurate and organized files for purchases, sales, and other transactions. Reconcile cash from daily sales, including ticket and concession revenue, tally with software reports. Prepare and report daily, monthly, and other periodic financial reports (MIS) to management, including details on petty cash, sales, anddiscrepancies. manage accounts receivable, and ensure timely submission of bills to the head office for payments process to suppliers, Handle the receiving of goods and manage stock adjustments for items of concessions. Conduct operational audits and provide necessary documentation for internal and external auditors. Handle other related activities as decided by management, such as managing refunds and concession spoilage reports. Experience in accounting and financial management is necessary. Specific experience in the cinema or entertainment industry is often preferred.
