Information Security Analyst I

About the Role

As an Information Security Analyst I at Monotype, you will be responsible for performing security investigations, coordinating breach response, and maintaining the security monitoring infrastructure. This role will involve working with internal Information Technology, Product Assurance, Engineering, and Tech Stack Vendors to ensure the security and integrity of Monotype's systems and data.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security investigations and coordinate breach response efforts to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Maintain and enhance security monitoring infrastructure, including IDS/IPS systems and other security tools.
• Assist IT in system and network hardening, malware remediation, and configuration auditing of network and operating systems.
• Conduct or assist in internal penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and potential for exploitation.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build successful partnerships and support compliance efforts.
• Stay up-to-date with relevant domestic and international security standards and best practices, such as PII, PCI DSS, ISO 27001/2, SSAE 16, SOX, and AML.
• Analyze threat information from multiple sources, disciplines, and agencies across the Intelligence Community to identify vulnerabilities and potential for exploitation.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent.
• Understanding of network, systems, application, and cloud security, specifically with AWS.
• Technical communication and analytical skills.
• Time management and organization skills with an aptitude towards creative problem solving.
• Oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
• Working knowledge and experience in compliance/remediation efforts of relevant domestic and international security standards and best practices.
• AWS, AML, PCI DSS, cloud security, IDS, IPS, ISO 27001, configuration auditing, internal penetration testing, malware remediation, PII, SSAE 16, SOX.
