MOD/SSD Equipment engineer
Job Description
About the Role
As a MOD/SSD Equipment engineer at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for addressing and improving product and equipment-specific issues. You will collaborate with other Equipment Engineering teams to implement new products and monitor existing products, serving as the primary point of contact for product-specific engineering issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and improve assigned assembly manufacturing processes, materials, and/or equipment.
- Maintain general process knowledge and equipment knowledge as it relates to the process.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) process and maintain materials knowledge as it relates to the process.
- Optimize process and/or equipment variables, identify all process variables, and perform containment of process and equipment deviations.
- Determine root cause, implement corrective action, and maintain knowledge of equipment and materials and how they interact.
- Monitor assembly process SPC and implement working procedures, process specification, FMEA, and OCAP for line personnel.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in using Micron-approved AI tools to improve productivity, data analysis, troubleshooting, process optimization, and technical documentation.
- Experience with equipment tracking programs, such as ETI (Equipment Tracking Interface), ETReports, and ETMaint.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, DOE techniques, process control, continuous improvement, equipment performance analysis, and root cause investigation.
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturer and company guidelines.
- Proficiency in technical documentation, including OCAP, FMEA, and process specification.
