Software / Platform Engineer I

About the Role

As a Software / Platform Engineer I at MetLife, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software platforms that support the company's business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless integration of new features and technologies.

Day-to-day, you will spend most of your time writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code in JavaScript, and working with APIs, microservices, and data governance frameworks to ensure data privacy and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop software platforms using JavaScript, APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
• Work with data governance frameworks to ensure data privacy and security.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into Adobe Experience Platform.
• Integrate Adobe Journey Optimizer and Adobe Campaign Classic with existing systems and applications.
• Develop and maintain documentation for software platforms and APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of JavaScript and its ecosystem.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and data governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and Adobe Campaign Classic.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 0-4 years of experience in software development and engineering.
