About the Role
An Actuarial Analyst in the Life domain at Mercer will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform business decisions, with a focus on life insurance products. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement actuarial models, as well as communicating findings to stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks will include data analysis, model development, and collaboration with colleagues to drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain actuarial models to analyze and predict life insurance product performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand product needs and develop solutions.
- Analyze and interpret complex data to inform business decisions.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in actuarial science and life insurance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of actuarial policies and procedures.
- Participate in actuarial exams and maintain professional certifications as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Actuarial Science degree or equivalent.
- Professional certifications such as Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
- Strong understanding of mathematics, statistics, and finance.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and tools, such as R or Python.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
