About the Role
In this Audit Assistant role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of client information. This involves working closely with senior auditors to ensure that financial records and statements are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
As an Audit Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from financial statement audits to internal control assessments. This role is ideal for recent graduates or semi-qualified professionals looking to build a strong foundation in auditing and accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior auditors in conducting financial statement audits, including reviewing financial records and statements.
- Perform internal control assessments to identify areas of risk and recommend improvements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client information, including financial records and statements.
- Conduct research and analysis to support audit findings and recommendations.
- Prepare and review audit reports, including financial statements and management letters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including communicating audit findings and recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Microsoft Excel: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role, as you will be working with large datasets and performing complex financial analysis.
- Tally ERP: Experience with Tally ERP is a plus, as you will be working with financial records and statements.
- Accounting software: Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, is also a plus.
- MS Office: Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and PowerPoint, is required for this role.
- Accounting: A basic understanding of accounting principles and concepts is essential for this role.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce: A bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field is required for this role.
- 0-1 year of experience: This role is ideal for recent graduates or semi-qualified professionals with 0-1 year of experience.
