Responsibilities

A Day in the Life may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Evaluating and designing, developing or modifying programs for internal functional areas including finance, human resources, and marketing.
• Analyzing existing programs and/or formulating logic for new systems.
• Developing system design documentation (including GUI design, if required), performing coding, and testing/debugging programs.
• Creating ad hoc or bolt-on programs for integrations or functional business teams as needed.
• Developing conversion and system implementation plans.
• Preparing and obtaining approval of system and programming documentation.
• Recommending changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
• Training users in system enhancements and modifications.
• Providing patch and software upgrades to existing systems as required.
• Correcting program errors, preparing operating instructions, compiling documentation for program support.
• Analyzing system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Working closely with functional users to enhance and maintain programs.

What You'll Need

Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A)) and 0 years of experience.
